use | for organic synthesis. The product reacts with oxidized sulfoxide below 80 ℃ for 2h, and distises excess thionyl chloride under reduced pressure to obtain 2-ethoxynaphthalene formyl chloride. This is an intermediate of the antibiotic drug ethoxynaphthalene penicillin sodium. |
Production method | It is obtained by oxidation of 2-ethoxynaphthalaldehyde ([19523-57-0]). After the oxidation reaction of 2-ethoxynaphthaldehyde and potassium permanganate in alkaline acetone, the acetone is distilled, the reactant is acidified to pH 4 to obtain a crude product, and the finished product of 2-ethoxynaphthoic acid is obtained after refining with ethanol. |
